Introducing Sustainable Cincy 2024

Flywheel's Fall Sustainable Cincy Cohort has successfully launched! We searched far and wide to find a diverse group of founders, from startup veterans to talented first-timers -- a rising star from Dayton, a returning founder from Taiwan, fast-growing operators from Northern KY and UC-based researchers developing breakthrough new technologies,  These founders are tackling key issues in Greater Cincinnati, including sustainable housing, waste reduction, and the potential for global leadership in sustainable packaging.

We can't wait to see what this outstanding group of founders will accomplish over the next several weeks. Read more about the cohort in last week's issue of CincyInno.

A special thanks to our coaches Adam Coleman, Tricia Morris, Fred Hilkowitz, Joan Kaup, Besty Neyer, Deborah Davis, Kelly Dehan, Hugh Ralston, Melisse May, and Julie Albright. They are bringing next-level energy and enthusiasm to this cohort! And to Samuel Baker, who works tirelessly to ensure our programs run smoothly and deliver impact for everyone involved.

Over the last month, we've been out listening to the community, strengthening our partnerships and exploring new ones, such as the UC Center for Entrepreneurship and 1819 Innovation Hub. We're engaging deeply with Miami University's Center for Social Entrepreneurship, the City of in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, the Dayton Entrepreneur Center, and we are growing our robust network of state and national thoughtleaders in equity and sustainability. And thanks to Alloy Growth Lab, our cohort will showcase at StartupCincy Week Green Room  from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on October 9. Please come see us!

Get excited! Flywheel is soaring! Please don't hesitate to contact us if you'd like to learn more about Flywheel's programs or to get involved.

Sincerely,

Donna Zaring, Executive Director
