Cincinnati, OH—Flywheel Social Enterprise Hub (Flywheel) announces it has located its offices to the heart of the Greater Cincinnati Region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. With the support of Cintrifuse, this move will increase collaboration between the region’s robust startup community and the social enterprise community.
Flywheel is the Greater Cincinnati Region’s nonprofit “hub” for social enterprise: “businesses where society profits”. Like the “flywheel” in a machine, Flywheel provides momentum for the social enterprise ecosystem, connecting social entrepreneurs with resources and technical assistance. Commenting on this move, Flywheel Board member and Queen City Angels member Dan Geeding said: “Flywheel has long been recognized as a region’s social entrepreneurs. This move allows cross-pollination of best practices between the startup community and social entrepreneurs, further building the economic and social fabric of our community.” Flywheel Executive Director Bill Tucker added: “This move also helps us connect impact investors with scalable social enterprises, particularly those that are tech-enabled.”
Cintrifuse is a nonprofit that supports the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing start-ups with talent, customers and funding. Commenting on this move, Cintrifuse’s Eric Weissmann said: “We are excited to have Flywheel embedded in our co-working space where startups collaborate with other startups allowing for resources, connections and best practices to be shared. We see Flywheel as an important member of the #StartupCincy community where entrepreneurs that ‘do good’ while doing well can reach new milestones through advice, support and guidance.”
