After a very successful 2015, this year Social Enterprise Week (October 3-October 8) will have more activities, engage more stakeholders and drive home the message of “business as a vehicle for improving the common good.” To accomplish this the week has these three goals:
- Build bridges between social entrepreneurs in the nonprofit, for profit and faith communities
- Create links to these social entrepreneurs with business, civic and government leaders
- Grow the market for the goods and services of social entrepreneurs
Building on the success of Social Enterprise Week in 2015, Social Enterprise Week 2016 will engage a larger cross section of the community as we seek to increase the impact of social enterprise in the region:
- Monday, October 3rd: “Social Enterprise CINCY Summit” Over 150 individuals are expected at this event where leading social entrepreneurs and community leaders will share their vision for Cincinnati. The event features nationally recognized key note speakers, multiple networking opportunities, and panels/presentations on topics ranging from women in entrepreneurship to strengthening neighborhoods through social enterprise.
